Amazon Market Place version 3.9 : Messaging – Invoice by Email – 12 October 2013
New Emailing Feature
Emailing customers is very strictly controlled on Amazon, but it is allowed; the email exchange must pertain to the subject at hand or else you’ll get a warning from Amazon.
Therefore we’ve added a new tab to the module: the Email tab. This lets you send clear, relevant message to the customer.
PDF Billing by Email
As soon as the set order status is reached, the module will automatically send a PDF bill, an optional file and an accompanying message, all in the customer’s language: the language of the original order.
The optional file can be an attachment of your generation terms of sale, for instance.
Email templates are provided by default in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish and you can select to personalize them.
Settings are presented as follows:

This way, you can increase your Amazon customers’ satisfaction rate, and therefore your Vendor Rating ?
The other emailing features will be available in Version 4.
Amazon Market Place version 3.9 and FBA features : 27 August 2013
Since Version 3.0, the module has included some built-in FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) features.
The currently available Version 3.9 is a forerunner of Version 4 that will, amongst other things, have a clear Amazon FBA orientation.
The module will offer full Amazon FBA support for product synchronization and order import, while also allowing automated management of its FBA stock.
Automatic FBA Switching
The module now enables automatic product switching from AFN to MFN and vice versa.
Clearly, when a product is directed to Amazon, the module immediately determines whether it is in stock, and channels it for offline “Shipment by Merchant” (Merchant Fulfilled Network – MFN) or online “Shipment by Amazon” (Amazon Fulfilled Network – AFN): This is the automatic switching mechanism. And vice versa: If the product is out of stock at Amazon but available in your stock, the module “switches” its Amazon listing available for “Shipment by Merchant”.
Optionally, you can be notified by email of these FBA stock fluctuations, so you will know when Amazon has stored and scanned your sale items.
Multi-Channel FBA Fulfillment
FBA Logistics
Either you are an FBA seller or you are not, but it seems difficult to reconcile the two. Why have duplicate supply channels, when a single one will do? Amazon is not only highly efficient but also offers extremely competitive handling and shipping terms.
And if you have only one supply channel, what happens to orders processed directly through your Prestashop online store?
What is the Multi-Channel or Multi-Site Offer ?
The offer is described on the Amazon website:
http://services.amazon.com/fulfillment-by-amazon/multi-channel.htm
The general idea is this:
Although your products are distributed both through Amazon and directly from your online store and other market locations, you concentrate your supply management in the hands of Amazon. When an order is placed in your online store, you make a “manual” order entry in Amazon Seller Central so that Amazon can ship the product to your client.
Amazon Seller Central is known as a multi-site or multi-channel service, because it can support entry of all your orders received through non-Amazon distribution channels.
Multi-Channel FBA Features of the Amazon Marketplace for Prestashop
From now on, this module will automatically perform these tasks for you:
When a customer places an order in your online store – your front office, the module performs real-time verification of the FBA eligibility of the order and, particularly, its availability in Amazon’s stock. If its eligibility is confirmed, the module triggers its direct shipping by Amazon.
In this way, shipping of the incoming order is directly executed without any human intervention!
Integrated Working with Other Market Places
The processing pattern is identical for other market channels, such as eBay, CDiscount, FNAC, PriceMinister, and so on… As soon as an order (prepaid) is imported into your backoffice system, it is automatically shipped by Amazon.
The module’s Multi-Channel FBA functionality is based on Prestashop Hooks (internal Prestashop event). Once a payment is validated and accepted, the module can trigger the shipment via Amazon according to your configuration.
Automatic Processing:
In automatic mode, no human intervention is needed. The order status changes from “paid” to “shipped”, and then to “delivered”.

Command-triggered Manual Processing:
According to your preference, you can select those orders you wish to ship directly and those you wish to refer to Amazon for handling.

Order Processing Channel Selection
A simple configuration enables you to associate the order processing channels shown in your online store with those offered by Amazon.
An accurate configuration will produce correlated scenari such as, for example, a Chronopost shipment delivered Express via Amazon:

Order Tracking
Amazon emails the tracking numbers to the end-user.
The module controller updates the status of the order throughout its lifecycle. It passes in turn from “In Process” to “Delivery in Progress” to “Delivered” according to the statuses configured in the module.
Follow-up in Amazon Seller Central
In Amazon Seller Central, you can view your Multi-Channel orders alongside your Amazon orders. This is illustrated in the screenshot below:

A simple comment identifies the sales channel as non-Amazon (indicating one of your other channels).
So, that summarizes the FBA enhancements.
Amazon Market Place version 3.8 : 09 June 2013
1. Revamping
The design of the module Amazon Marketplace dated from Prestashop 1.3, we have therefore undertaken a big facelift for the new version of Prestashop 1.5.
The new design integrates a lot better in Prestashop 1.5 and remains compatible with previous versions. The interface is clear and user-friendly.

2. Preselection
The module offers the possibility to program actions for articles or groups of articles, the preselection.
Thus it becomes easy to build up a list of products to create on Amazon, to delete or update.
For this, a section was added to the article sheet in the tab Amazon:

Once articles preselection is done, simply start a synchronization, all pre-selected items will be exported.
3. Native support of PrestaShop 1.5
The module has been ported to Prestashop 1.5. Previously it worked in compatibility mode 1.5 as most of the modules. Now this compatibility mode is inverted, it operates in native mode Prestashop 1.5 and offers compatibility for the previous version.
About the users of Prestashop 1.3 and 1.4, the quality of the module is improved, the module also uses Smarty for display in backoffice.
However, this has no functional importance but it is simply a guarantee of scalability of the module.
The beneficiaries of the option serenity are offered the update.
But for those who do not enjoy the support of the 3.7 continues to be insured normally.

Amazon Market Place version 3.5 : 13 December 2012
Today we are announcing theversion 3.5 with its long awaited new feature:
The automatic creation of product sheets on Amazon.
For 2 years the major weakness of the module was that it only did the updates and when a new item was not referenced by Amazon, we had to create it manually in the back office of Amazon; SellerCentral.
It now belongs to the past!
The module create in a transparent manner the products in Amazon back-office, whether it is a single item or a product accompanied by variations.
How does it work?
Two new tabs appears on:

Profiles and Mapping have been added in order to assign groups of categories in a mask creation which is simple and easy.
If for example you have categories as shown in the demo version of Prestashop, you should create profiles named as iPod Accessories, Laptops etc …
In Amazon, each profile can indicate the nature of the product and its possible Combinations which are also called Variants at Amazon.
Observe a profile:

It is very simple. When configuring the module will search in real time for classification elements of products on Amazon and propose a chosen mask in the required entry fields.
These fields are then used by the module to create records.
Once the profile is created, you associate the categories of your choice:

Save and export your products!
What is sent on Amazon?
You select which fields will be sent on Amazon:
– Name of Products
– Description of Products
– Images
– Required fields imposed by Amazon according to the categories.
The names of the products are sent with the elements of variation. For example: “iPod 16GB – Blue.”
The cover image and the other images are sent (send multiple images for a product).

Here is a sample product sent with variations of colors:

Note that the product is sent with selectable colors variations on the same sheet.
Also note that the colors are shown in the language of the user thanks to the mapping of the fields, here the Color:

This configuration is done within few seconds in the module!
How do you know if the products are properly sent on Amazon?
Once the products are sent you will receive a report with a number of products sent and also the errors or the warnings if there is any:

Errors are documented in English and in French by Amazon.
The most common errors are documented in the FAQ module of Amazon.
Other new features have been introduced since version 2.5 but the most significant and awaited new feature was this one. We will come back with the details of the other new features in another article.
Happy sales on Amazon!
